The incoming Trump Administration has vowed to “fix” the border issue, and Republicans are confident that it will. With President Donald Trump (R) enlisting Tom Homan as his “Border Czar,” Democrat lawmakers have vowed to push back against any deportation efforts. During an appearance on Fox News, Florida Rep. Byron Donalds (R) slammed Democrats for allegedly using kids “as pawns.”
Republicans have expressed glowing enthusiasm over Homan’s intention to go after “criminals” and “gang members” as part of a sweeping deportation effort.
Responding to mass deportation plans under the incoming Trump Administration, lawmakers from across the country such as Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs (D) and Denver Mayor Mike Johnston have shared their plan to defy deportation efforts.
In response, Homan has shared that lawmakers could face strict penalties.
Mayor Johnston expressed that he is prepared to go to jail in order to stop President Trump’s deportation plans, and Homan says he’s ok with that.

“Me and the Denver mayor, we agree on one thing – he’s willing to go to jail. I’m willing to put him in jail because there’s a statute,” Homan said during an appearance on Fox News.
During an interview with Laura Ingraham, Rep. Donalds criticized Democrats, arguing that illegal immigration must be fixed because it affects children, who often end up being sexually assaulted or targeted by gangs.
Democrats want young children to be used as pawns in their reckless political game of open borders that empowers the drug cartels.
But on Nov. 5, the American people REJECTED their inhumane agenda.

Responding to footage of several children – ages ranging between four-years-old and twelve-years-old – Donalds lamented, “You’re not gonna get any tears from the Democrats because this is what they wanted. They wanted a wide-open border. They wanted young kids being used as pawns in this crazy political game that empowers the Democrats and empowers the drug cartels.”
Backing Homan’s job as the incoming “Border Czar,” Rep. Donalds affirmed that he would “send a lot of these adults and these criminals home.” “The Democrats do not care about these young kids. They only care about their political agenda, and they will use these kids to further their own ends,” the Florida lawmaker warned.
