Gimenez Chastises Harris's 'But' After Saying She Supports Israel

The State of Israel has been on high alert as the chance of an attack by Iran continues to mount, but over the weekend, Vice President Kamala Harris expressed her support yet also chastised them. Representative Carlos Gimenez (R-FL) blasted her remarks during a recent appearance on Fox Business's Mornings with Maria, saying, "There are no 'buts' about it. [Israel] has a right to defend itself."

Harris made the remarks on the campaign trail in Phoenix, Arizona, on Saturday, claiming that while Israel is right to "go after Hamas," they also have "an important responsibility" to avoid civilian casualties.

Rep. Gimenez called the Biden-Harris Administration "super-weak on the issue of Israel" and noted that the sanctions relief given to Iran "allowed them to get so much revenue from the oil that they are selling to China, 500% more than what they had under President Trump," which in turn allows the Islamic Republic to fund Hamas, Hezbollah, and other terror organizations in the region.

As a result, Rep. Gimenez suggested, "The Iranians want the Harris-Walz ticket. Why? Because they know that [they are] going to be much friendlier to Iran than the Trump ticket is."

"And so you know, Trump [and] the Republican Party is solidly behind Israel. Kamala Harris should have stopped when she had 'Israel has the right to defend itself, period.' That is it. There are no 'buts' about it that [Israel] has a right to defend itself and needs to do whatever it has to do in order to defend itself and its people," the Florida Congressman continued.

However, Harris "has to kowtow to her extreme elements, actually, elements she probably believes in."

Last week, Representative Mike Waltz (R-FL) similarly scolded the Biden Administration's policies towards the Jewish State as having "practically invited this war" between it and Iran.

"Every time Iran, Russia, [or] China sees daylight between us and Israel, they are going to escalate further," Rep. Waltz warned.
