Florida Democrat Fried Calls Floridians 'Lab Rats' in Dig Against Trump

Share

A government accountability project called “DeSantis Watch,” – led by its communications director Anders Croy – declared the Sunshine State to be the “laboratory” for the Heritage Foundation’s highly controversial Project 2025. Former Democrat gubernatorial candidate Nikki Fried (D-FL) stated that Floridians have been “lab rats,” and subject to a trial run for Project 2025 should former President Donald Trump (R) get elected and implement its measures.

“Florida has been the lab rats for Trump’s Project 2025. America will reject this extremism,” said Fried, who heads the Florida Democratic Party.

Is Fried calling the State of Florida a lab rat or its citizens? Based on the improper grammar structure it is unclear.

However, that did not stop Fried’s Florida foes from firing back at the former commissioner of agriculture.

Republican Party of Florida Chair Evan Power told The Floridian that Fried was just trying to draw attention to herself.

“Another desperate attempt from Nikki Fried to try and get attention. Here are the facts: Florida has become the leader of the nation with people flocking to Florida. They are also running from the failure that is the Florida Dem’s radical agenda. It is why we will soon pass a million voter advantage for Republicans in the Sunshine State,” said Power.

State Representative Randy Fine (R-FL) also responded to a request for comment, saying that Florida has become the “envy of the nation” due to Republican leadership over the last quarter century.

“To be honest, I don’t even know what’s in ‘Project 2025,’” Rep. Fine said. “What I do know is Florida is the envy of the nation because of 25 years of sustained conservative governance. Americans have a choice between a Floridian and a San Francisco liberal this election. I know which state’s policies seem to be working better.”

Finally, State Senator Blaise Ingoglia (R-FL) told The Floridian said Nikki Fried might be “triggered” after hearing her response.

“I’m sorry everyone is moving here because we have a great business climate, no income tax, great schools (including choice), great people, great infrastructure and a great Governor. Nikki Fried sounds a little triggered because of Florida’s success,” said State Sen. Ingoglia.

Americans will in fact have a choice on November 5 to decide their future at the local, state, and federal levels.

Are Floridian's lab rats?
