Florida Rep. Byron Donalds (R) has remained a vocal critic of the Biden-Harris Administration. Since Vice President Kamala Harris (D) emerged as the Democratic nominee for the presidency, Rep. Donalds has amped up his criticism, and recent economic setbacks for the country have further angered the Florida Republicans. This morning, news circulated regarding a potential recession, and this Rep. Donalds argues is because there's no "serious leadership" in the White House.

Americans woke up to grave concerns this morning as U.S. markets are reporting a nosedive. Over $1.93 trillion has been wiped out from the U.S. stock market, and the market being down over 1,000 points is something that has shocked the nation.

However, Republicans like Rep. Donalds are not surprised, cautioning that this disturbance in the market is because of the Biden-Harris Administration.

Taking to social media to air out his grievances, Rep. Donalds chided the vice president because "it's been 15 days since Democrat elites installed Kamala as their nominee." During this time, "she's refused to do a single interview, speak without a teleprompter, or lay-out an agenda."

Instead, Rep. Donalds said that the presidential nominee has been focused on labeling the Trump-Vance ticket as "weird."

The drop in the market comes after the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the U.S. unemployment rate had risen to 4.3%. The Bureau also reported that the economy had added 114,000 jobs, and both numbers were lower-than-expected jobs data.

The new information has struck fear in the U.S. that a recession is incoming, and Rep. Donalds agrees. Warning that Vice President Harris only offers platitudes as the country braces for a recession, the Florida lawmaker is calling on "serious leadership" from the White House.

According to a recent CBS News Poll, Vice President Harris leads President Donald Trump (R) by 1-point nationally. However, both Vice President Harris and President Trump are tied in the battleground states.
