Trump Responds to Judge Dismissing Documents Case

President Donald Trump (R) is readying himself for the Republican National Convention. Aside from being formally recognized as the Republican nominee for November's election, the former president is also expected to announce his long-awaited vice presidential candidate. Ahead of the big night, President Trump has issued a response regarding the dismissal of his documents case.

Early Monday morning, Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed Prosecutor Jack Smith's documents case against President Trump. The 93 page dismissal argues that smith was not appointed by the president and that he was also not confirmed by the Senate, which President Trump has previously argued.

In response to the dismissal, President Trump has taken to social media to address the concern, calling it an end to "the Witch Hunts."

Scam, Fake Claims about a woman I never met (a decades old photo in a line with her then husband does not count), and the Georgia “Perfect” Phone Call charges," President Trump wrote on Truth Social. "The Democrat Justice Department coordinated ALL of these Political Attacks, which are an Election Interference conspiracy against Joe Biden’s Political Opponent, ME. Let us come together to END all Weaponization of our Justice System, and Make America Great Again!"

Despite the assassination attempt over the weekend, President Trump has experienced a surge in popularity since the first presidential debate. President Trump announced after the shooting that he was debating delaying the RNC but opted against it.

He is expected to accept the nomination tonight, and he is also expected to announce his vice president, which many believe could be Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R).
