Republican lawmakers have long expressed concerns about "wokeness" being integrated into the United States military. Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) recently released what appears to be the latest instance, detailing a 27-page guidebook used in the Air Force that he "will be calling on the Air Force to make clear if they agree with this radical document."

The 27-page guidebook was published by the 552nd Air Control Wing in Oklahoma, which focused on "microaggressions" and recommends communist agitator Angela Davis's Women, Race, and Class as a sourcebook.

Additionally, the memo advises against phrases such as "toughen up," "I do not see color," "opposite sex," "spirit animal," or "savage," the latter even in a complimentary fashion. More egregiously, the book "states that Airmen shouldn't hang posters that call for standing for the flag," as Rep. Gaetz's press release described.

Per the book, "For instance, sometimes squadron members will hang "Stand for the flag, kneel for the cross" posters in their offices. While this may seem like a benign display of Christian and patriotic values, the context of this statement is an expression in opposition to a specific form of anti-racist protest."

"Under Kamala Harris, the Air Force tells people 'that's savage' is a microaggression. I'm sorry, but I want a savage military to protect us from China. I will be calling on the Air Force to make clear if they agree with this radical document," the Florida Congressman said in his press release.

In June, Representative Mike Waltz (R-FL) blasted the Biden Administration for its focus on producing environmentally-friendly military equipment over its lethality and effectiveness, saying it was "ridiculous on the face of it, and this is why we are calling this the common sense election," referring to the upcoming November election.

Last July, Rep. Waltz similarly blasted the implementation of Critical Race Theory (CRT) material into military academies.

"In an institution that is teaching our leaders to defend, and future military leaders to die for, civil institutions that are being described as inherently racist and a class of people because of their skin color, that's offensive, and that runs against your priorities," Waltz blasted the Superintendents of the academies.
