Mills Rips Democrats Chasing Anti-Israel Vote After IDF Hostage Rescue

Share

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a military operation that rescued four hostages held by Hamas, yet the world's reaction has been adverse, even from the White House. Representatives Cory Mills (R-FL) and Claudia Tenney (R-NY) discussed the rescue and its political fallout in a recent appearance on Fox Business's Kudlow, blasting Democrats for chasing the anti-Israel vote that is far smaller than the majority of Americans who side with the Jewish State, calling it a cynical attempt at maintaining power.

Rep. Tenney began by reminding viewers that Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East and an important American ally, "our last line of defense against radical Islamic terrorism," yet "The Democrats just are really so concerned about their base and the fact that if they lose [Representative] Rashida Tlaib's (D-MI) district in Michigan, that very well could put President Trump over the top and he will win the election."

"So, in the end, it is not about Israel. It is not about peace; it is not about the world. It is about politics and power, and that is all the Democrats are about, unfortunately, under the current leadership," Rep. Tenny continued.

Host Larry Kudlow further noted that a majority of Americans, an average of 65% over the years, support Israel in their efforts to destroy Hamas, even in the face of the antisemitic surge seen on college campuses in support of Palestine. Despite this, the Biden Administration is seeking to preserve the votes of the anti-Israel minority, which could very well cost them the Jewish vote.

Rep. Mills agreed, saying, "What Joe Biden is pandering to is that 13.2% of the uncommitted votes that Rashida Tlaib had basically pushed, a little over 101,000 individuals, but he is also looking at the radicalized kind of structure of what is happening on the school campuses and whether or not he can try and get them to vote for him as he utilizes Israel and the Congressionally appropriated funding as a mechanism to try and win votes."

Moreover, the Florida Congressman pointed out that this exact politicized, "quid pro quo" nature of hamstringing Israel to chase the pro-Palestine vote is why he filed articles of impeachment against President Biden.

"But let me just comment quickly as a US Army combat veteran who has conducted counterterrorism operations in Iraq and other areas: I can tell you that what the IDF has done is nothing short of a heroic and harrowing rescue," Mills concluded.
