“Meg Weinberger, who is known and loved by so many of my friends, is running to be a BIG VOICE in the Florida State House, in District 94. As your next Representative, ‘MAGA’ Meg will fight tirelessly to Grow our Economy, Stop Inflation, Secure our Border, End Migrant Crime, Support our Great Military/Vets, Protect our always under-siege Second Amendment, and Restore American Energy DOMINANCE. Meg Weinberger has my Complete and Total Endorsement—SHE WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN!” said Trump.
Show host Dr. Gina Loudon who claims to have coined the term “MAGA Meg” on her program, asked Weinberger what she thought of the former president’s endorsement.
“Well, [it’s] humbling, an honor. Honestly, it was something you dream of, and now it’s just: live up to that, you know? And live up to everything that he’s fought for and continue my journey and do what I can.”
The State House candidate later spoke on who she is as a person and a candidate.
“I truly believe you know what you’re exposed to in life. I love to help others," said Weinberger. "I genuinely have the care to help animals in need, foster children.” She expanded upon this further in the interview. “Well, I’ve been a foster parent myself. I have two adopted sisters, one with Down Syndrome. I’ve been a mentor with Place of Hope and Kid Sanctuary for many years. I believe you get back into this world what you give. It’s important. I want my kids, and my children to have safe neighborhoods and grow up. And my teaching these kids that, maybe were never exposed to healthy families, and as a foster parent, how important it is. It’s just going to make the world better. It’s just going to make America better.”
Meg Weinberger will face off against Anthony Aguirre (R) in the state Republican primary for the Florida House District 94 seat on August 20.
