The ongoing border crisis has been increasingly contentious as the 2024 Election in November gets closer, with the Biden Administration losing Latino voters concerned about illegal immigration. Representative Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) discussed wavering Latino support for Biden in a recent appearance on Fox News, declaring, "The election cannot come quick enough, and we cannot elect Trump back into the White House fast enough for the sake of our country."

Host Antia Vogel began by playing a clip from Bill Maher discussing President Biden's recent executive action on the border, which he derided as a "Hail Mary" to shore up support ahead of the election.

Rep. Diaz-Balart agreed, calling it "a really, really dangerous strategy."

"The reason we have the crisis on the southern border, which I think is a threat to our national security and a threat to everything else we care about, is because of the multiple executive orders that Biden has done to literally open up the border and give control of the southern border to the narco cartels... And this executive order is nothing but trying to do something last minute for political reasons," the Florida Congressman said.

Vogel then cited a New York Times headline where Latino voters are wavering in their support of Biden thanks to the crisis, including an incident where a mother found an illegal immigrant hiding under her bed from Border Patrol agents.

"Look, the election cannot come quick enough, and we cannot elect Trump back into the White House fast enough for the sake of our country, for the sake of our economy, for the sake of our security, and the future of our children," Rep. Diaz-Balart declared, saying the consequences of Biden's actions at home and abroad are impossible to ignore.

"Latinos and everybody else in this country are wise. They are smart. They see the reality. Trump was a great President [and] Biden has been catastrophic for the United States and the entire world. So we cannot have that election soon enough. Everybody has to turn out because we can no longer afford and we cannot continue to have this disaster in the White House. We need Trump back as President of the United States," Diaz-Balart concluded.

Fellow Florida Republican and Cuban-American Representative Carlos Gimenez (R-FL) expressed a similar sentiment at the end of May: "We need a new President. That is why this will stop as soon as Donald Trump becomes President of the United States."
