Republicans nationwide continue demonstrating their anger at the guilty verdict of former President Donald Trump in his New York "hush money" trial. Representative Cory Mills (R-FL) called for action in response during a recent appearance on Fox Business's Mornings with Maria, saying he was "sick" of hearings for the impeachment inquiry into President Biden.
Host Maria Bartiromo began by quoting Rep. Mills' post on X (formerly Twitter), where he said, "Today's verdict is not about justice or ensuring no one is above the law. Today is further proof of how the scales of justice have been thrown out, and how weaponization of the justice system can be used for political persecution," asking what Congress could do about it.

Rep. Mills answered, "I think that right now, it is time to stop playing defense and play offense. I have been saying this from the very beginning: I tried to drop articles of impeachment against Joe Biden for his abuse of power, for his violation of the separation of powers, for his inability to try, and- he violated his faithful oath to office, all of these things, and I was told, 'oh, we will slow-roll this a little bit because we need to get appropriations through."
"I am sick of trying to sit here and worry about what the Senate is doing," Mills declared bluntly, "I was not elected to the Senate. I was elected to the House. We need to do our job, and we need to step up and get accountability. We need to stop this absolute weaponization, and we need to get out there and start looking at how our [District Attorneys] and [Attorneys General] can start stepping their roles up."
Bartiromo then asked about the impeachment inquiry that has dropped out of the news cycle.
"I am sick of hearing, hearing, hearing!" the Florida Congressman declared, "All I hear is 'one more piece of evidence, one more piece of evidence.' We have got more than enough. You had President Trump, who was impeached wrongfully, twice, for far less than what we have on Joe Biden and Hunter Biden."
