US Representative Cory Mills (R-FL) announced over the weekend former President Donald Trump had endorsed his candidacy for Florida’s 7th Congressional District.
Representative Mills is currently running for re-election in the upcoming November general election.
Mills made the announcement via Twitter Sunday afternoon," stating, ”I’m honored to receive (Trump’s) endorsement as I continue my service to our great nation."
Thank you @realDonaldTrump for your unwavering support. I’m honored to receive your endorsement as I continue my service to our great nation. I look forward to fighting alongside you to secure our borders, build our economy, strengthen our armed forces, and Make America Great… pic.twitter.com/t4XCcl922q

A consistent supporter of President Trump, Mills has even accompanied the latter throughout his legal trials in New York and called Trumps’ various legal prosecutions a “sham” and “a farce.”
In 2022, Mills comfortably defeated Democrat candidate Karen Green to begin serving US House Florida District 7.
Mills also defeated Anthony Sabatini and six other Republican candidates during the 2022 Republican primary for the district and faces Michael Johnson in the current 2024 Republican primary for the district.
Johnson previously ran for Florida’s State Senate 22nd District and lost by a landslide to Florida Senator Joe Gruters (R-22).
On the Democrat side, Jennifer Adams, Tatiana Fernandez, and Allek Pastrana have all enlisted to attempt to defeat Mills.
Adams seems to have gained the most traction amongst Democrats, raising nearly $100 thousand for her campaign.
Alternatively, Mills has raised a quarter of a million dollars to fund his campaign as of March 31st.
