Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) recently spoke to The Floridian to discuss the prospect of former President Donald Trump (R) returning to the White House in January of 2025. He was optimistic about President Trump's possible performance as there would be no “learning curve” for the former President upon entering the Oval Office.
EPIC AND ACCURATE ASSESSMENT
🚨 Senator @marcorubio says Trump will restore American strength in the world and "respect for the country."

“I think he knows exactly what he needs to do if he takes over; on the border, on energy, on helping recover the economy, on restoring American strength in the world, and respect for the country. Whether you like them or not, our adversaries, Kim Jong Un feared Donald Trump. Vladimir Putin respected at least Donald Trump. The Iranians couldn't believe it when they killed and hit Soleimani,” said Sen. Rubio. “So, there was an element of respect in the world for the strength of the presidency and of a country that doesn't exist right now. I think where you're really going to see a difference is if Trump's elected president, he doesn't have a learning curve, he can hit the ground running on day one. And they're very well prepared to transition in my view from what I know.”
When asked about how President Trump can “undo” the policies of President Biden. Sen. Rubio started with the border.
“The invasion at the border began when Biden in the first 100 days issued 90-something executive orders reversing everything Trump did. If you think about the border, what drives migration, it's all driven by perception. When people and countries perceive that getting here and staying here is easier, they come. So, when they did TPS (Temporary Protected Status) for Venezuelans, we knew that that would lead to more Venezuelans coming, even though TPS didn't apply to the ones entering afterward, it becomes a magnet. The perception when Biden took over is it's going to be easier to get there and easier to stay, more people come. When Trump was president and the perception was, it's going to be harder to get there and harder to get in and harder to stay. Less people came. So I think that will be almost automatic on day one you're going to see that number fly down. I think respect for America [will rise] on day one.”
Finally, Sen. Rubio said that the differences between a Trump and Biden second term will be night and day.
“I think we're not going to see some of this nonsense. You're not going to have a president out there trying to appease leftist anti-American, pro-Hamas terrorists. You're not going to have a president blackmailing Israel or trying to pressure Israel in order to appease these radical elements in their party, you're not going to have any of that.”
