Mills Says 'Anyone With Sense of Humanity' Wants Hamas Destroyed

The State of Israel has planned to advance into Rafah, Gaza, one of Hamas's major strongholds, despite warnings from the Biden Administration over civilian casualties. Representative Cory Mills (R-FL) pointed out that not only are the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) seeking to minimize civilian casualties, but Hamas actively uses human shields, and thus "I think anyone with a basic sense of humanity condemns what Hamas [has] done" in a recent appearance on Fox Business's Varney & Co.

Host Stuart Varney began by quoting the Biden Administration declaring its support for Israel is "ironclad," but anticipated a negative response if the IDF advanced into Rafah and civilian casualties occurred.

Rep. Mills replied that not only are Israeli forces seeking to minimize casualties, but speaking from personal experience, "War is a very ugly thing," and Hamas has no scruples against using civilians as human shields, something both Democrats and Republicans have pointed out in the past.

Moreover, the Florida Congressman pointed out that the Biden Administration has been enabling Iran with "fungible assets that [were] unfrozen that Iran has been utilizing, the fact that [the White House] have not enforced sanctions and that Joe Biden has allowed tens of billions of dollars to go continuously in oil trade and the fact that he de-listed the Houthi rebels, which is disrupting 12% of commerce. Again, he cannot be pro-Iran and pro-Israel."

Varney then asked if there was a party divide between Democrats and Republicans on wanting Hamas destroyed, to which Rep. Mills replied, "Anyone with a basic sense of humanity condemns what Hamas [has] done. When you had 1,200 innocent women, children, men, young men, who were murdered, who were slayed, who were raped, who were beheaded."

"The atrocious events by these types of organizations cannot be something that we continue to support or defend, and so we need to call it for what it is and eliminate these horrible terrorist organizations within Gaza so that the people, the Palestinian and Israeli people, can try and live in relative harmony and peace," Mills concluded.
