After a contentious battle to remove President Donald Trump (R) from the November ballot, the Supreme Court has ruled that states don't have the authority to remove him. In a 9-0 ruling the Supreme Court made it clear where they stood. President Trump celebrated the Supreme Court ruling on social media, going after President Joe Biden (D) in the process.

In an unsigned opinion, the Supreme Court ruled that states do not have the authority to disqualify a presidential candidate under the Constitution's "insurrection clause." Instead, the only body with the authority to do so is Congress. This is another setback from detractors of President Trump as it appears the November election will be a 2020 rematch.

Sharing a video on social media, President Trump celebrated the ruling, but the presidential challenger also directed choice words at the incumbent president.

"President Biden, number one, stop weaponization. Fight the fight yourself. Don't use prosecutors and judges to go after your opponent to try and damage your opponent, so you can win an election. Our country is much bigger than that," President Trump said in the video.

He went on to comment on the growing border concerns, calling on President Biden to "close the borders now."

"You have the authorization right now. I did it... Use my policies. My policies were great," he said.

Both President Biden and President Trump visited the border last Thursday, and President Trump held a press conference with Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) and other local leaders. President Trump praised Governor Abbott for his efforts to secure the border while also criticizing President Biden and accusing him of mishandling the border.

He called the issue a "Joe Biden invasion," calling President Biden a "terrible president" and "probably the most incompetent president we've ever had."

Polls indicate that President Trump is outpacing President Biden heading into the November election.
