Salazar Endorses President Trump

Share

Florida Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar (R) has endorsed President Donald Trump (R) for president. The endorsement comes as tension continues to rise between President Trump and Ambassador Nikki Haley (R).

The fight between President Trump and Ambassador Haley has gotten ugly. Once friends, both have viciously criticized each other, and the fight has poured over into their respective supporters.

This week, Ambassador Haley's son called South Carolina Senator Tim Scott (R) "senator Judas" over his endorsement of President Trump. Senator Scott was appointed to the Senate by then-Governor Haley in 2012 to fill a vacancy. Shortly after Senator Scott suspended his own presidential campaign, he enthusiastically endorsed President Trump and has campaigned with him since.

Despite being called "senator Judas" by Nalin Haley, Ambassador Haley's son, Senator Scott remains 100% in support of President Trump. "Politics makes people and their families desperate," he commented this week during an interview with Face the Nation.

Others like Senator Scott have shared their support for President Trump, and a number of Florida lawmakers are standing behind the former president.

Rep. Salazar now officially joins that group.

Taking to social media to share an image of herself with President Trump, she not only endorsed him but outlined why voters should back him over the rest.

"With Trump there was: no inflation, no open borders, no weak foreign policy, no high interest rates, no socialist policies, no selected prosecution, no foreign energy dependency, no economic uncertainty."

Salazar warns that "we need a proven leader to bring the USA back to greatness."

President Trump has surpassed Ambassador Haley in the polls, defeating her at every juncture of the primary race. However, she remains committed to the fight. In contrast, President Joe Biden (D) is now experiencing floundering polling number against the former president, and talks surrounding Vice President Kamala Harris (D) assuming the Democratic nomination have begun to populate the airwaves.
