Sal Nuzzo is officially leaving the James Madison Institute (JMI) to serve as Executive Director of a non-profit called Consumers Defense.
Consumers Defense is a policy and advocacy non-profit with a nationwide reach to combat Leftist ideology, China and woke corporatism within the American economy.
Before this opportunity, Nuzzo has spent 10 years in coalition building and strategy development. The James Madison Institute has recognized him as a vital player within the organization stating, "the victories he has been a part of during his tenure at JMI are too far to count, and they are what helps make the Sunshine State a beacon of freedom across the country."
Dr. Robert McClure, President and CEO of the James Madison Institute stated, "Sal has been pivotal in our development over the past ten years, and we would not be where we are without him. He has been a tireless advocate for exporting Florida's success story across the country. A relentless, dedicated and happy warrior, he will go anywhere, talk with anyone, and he answers the phone no matter who is on the other line. I am thankful for all the work he has put into making JMI so influential. I look forward to watching him continue to achieve success for the movement."
During this time, Nuzzo was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) to serve on Florida's Government Efficiency Task Force. While working under the governor, he has worked under Florida Coalition Leads for Grover Norquist's Americans for Tax Reform.
