RNC Announces GOP Candidates for 3rd GOP Debate in Miami

The Republican National Committee (RNC) has announced the 5 presidential candidates that have qualified for the debate tomorrow night. With President Donald Trump (R) missing the third debate, these five candidates are looking to appeal to voters and bolster their campaigns.

President Trump, who’s leading in the polls against his fellow Republican candidates and against President Joe Biden (D), will be absent from the debate stage, opting to host a campaign rally in Hialeah instead.

For those who will be watching the debate, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R), South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley (R), New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R), South Carolina Senator Tim Scott (R), and Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy (R) have all qualified to be on the debate stage.

The announcement was made by RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, who said that the RNC is “looking forward” to hearing the arguments the candidates have to make.

In a statement, McDaniel said “we are looking forward to our third debate in Miami, a welcome opportunity for our candidates to showcase our winning conservative agenda to the American people.”

“We are especially honored to be the first political party to partner with a Jewish organization for a debate in our partnership with the Republican Jewish coalition, and our candidates will reaffirm the Republican Party’s unwavering support of Israel and the Jewish community on the stage Wednesday night.”

The debate comes after this weekend’s Republican Freedom Summit conference, which saw Trump and DeSantis exchange verbal jabs. Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson (R), who did not qualify for the debate on Wednesday, received a roar of boos from the conservative crowd after suggesting that Trump would not be able to overcome his mounting legal woes. Christie similarly received boos after criticizing the 45th president.

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum (R) has also not qualif for the debate on Wednesday.
