Lt. Gov Nuñez Advertises Florida’s Universities and Burgeoning Economy to World CEOs

Coral Gables, Fl- Florida Lt. Governor Jeannette Nuñez boasted about Florida’s booming economy, stellar universities, and low regulation during the second day of the World Strategic Forum.

Lt. Governor Nuñez gave a keynote address to hundreds of company executives and political leaders gathered for the International Economic Forum of the Americas’ (IEFA) annual Miami event.

Nuñez explained Florida’s economic policies have resulted in the state’s credit rating surpassing those of California, New York, and the US, which have all recently been downgraded.

“We believe in low taxes, low regulation, creating a positive environment, and then getting out of your way so you can do what you do best,” said Nuñez to the over 750 CEOs present.

Yesterday, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava encouraged investment into Miami and the South Florida region during her own keynote address

Cava touted Miami outpacing of the national economy, 320 companies transferring operations to South Florida and over twenty thousand new jobs being created in the past year alone. The Dade-County Mayor claimed part of her successes come from efforts to deregulate and help small businesses.

FIU’s Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom is co-hosting the IEFA event.

Nuñez lauded the center, originally established by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to serve as an academic hotspot for civic literacy and liberal political thought.

The Smith Center has been “unequivocal in setting the record straight that free enterprise has been pivotal in generating intergenerational wealth,” said Nuñez.

Also present was Tennessee Senator Bill Hagerty, who spoke at length about the global economic state of affairs, with a special focus on Iran, China, and Russia.

Senator Hagerty publicly chided President Joe Biden’s foreign strategy vis-a-vis China, Russia, and Iran, claiming the administration was seeking to appease rather than confront our enemies.
