Former President Donald Trump, Governor Ron DeSantis, and Ambassador Nikki Haley, paid tribute to America's Veterans on Veterans Day.

"We love our veterans and are thankful for their service and defending our freedoms," posted Team Haley. "We wouldn’t be the greatest country in the world without them. 🇺🇸"

Haley's husband Michael is a captain in South Carolina's National Guard. His military career began in 2006, and in 2012, was deployed to Afghanistan’s Helmand Province. Mr. Haley is currently redeployed in the Middle East

"Proud of my veteran @WMichaelHaley and the many men and women who have served to defend our freedoms. Thank you to the sacrifice of our military families who continue to support them," posted Haley. "We are blessed to live in America!"

Governor Ron DeSantis, who served in the U.S. Navy, concurrently accepting a reserve commission as a lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General's Corps of the U.S. Navy Reserve,  could be the first veteran to serve as President since George W. Bush if he wins the Republican presidential nomination, and if he goes on to defeat President Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election.

"Happy Veterans Day! To all who have worn the cloth of our country, and to those who sacrificed so much for this great nation: we thank you," posted DeSantis. "As a veteran myself, I am honored by the unwavering support we receive. I will always have the backs of our vets."

DeSantis released a video with veterans voicing their support for DeSantis for President.

"We have fallen down so far and we need someone with strength, courage and ability and I believe Governor DeSantis is the man for the job," U.S. Army Veteran Ervin Jones.

"I think he has the courage and that is missing. We don't have that today in our leader," said U.S. Navy veteran John Bushwack.

"We need someone with the courage to do what is right even when it is not in their political interest," said U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Cole Lyle.

During his military career, DeSantis was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Iraq Campaign Medal.

Former President Trump posted a meme on social media  focusing on the sacrifices veterans and their families have made.

"Our veterans will never stop fighting for the America we cherish. The full measure of your service and your family's dedication in support of your service may not be fully understood and appreciated, but it will never be forgotten," stated President Trump.
