House Republicans and Hostage Families Request Immediate Release of all Hostages

Share

Washington, D.C.- Representative Cory Mills (FL-07) joined House of Representatives leaders and families of hostages abducted by Hamas terrorists for a press conference.

With Representative Mills were Speaker Mike Johnson, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, Majority Whip Tom Emmer, Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik, and families of four hostages.

The families of the hostages shared their experiences during Hamas’ terror attacks on October 7th and the suffering undergone by them as Hamas forcibly separated them from loved ones.

The press conference sought to underscore the grave threat that Hamas poses and create unified support for the State of Israel from the United States citizenry. Mills expressed his unwavering commitment to supporting the families and sympathized with their suffering.

“I am a father, I have my prepared remarks but, I am a father, and I can’t imagine the amount of pain and grief that many of these families are facing,” stated Mills.

Mills, who evacuated over 200 Americans out of Israel, underscored the urgency of the situation and criticized President Joe Biden’s response.

“We must not forget about those who are still stranded however, including the innocent hostages that Hamas, the Iranian-backed terrorist organization still has in their control. The bottom line is that Joe Biden has proven time and time again he is not prioritizing the well-being of the American People at home or abroad,” continued Mills.

The Floridian first reported on Mills evacuation efforts in early October, when Mills directly explained to The Floridian’s editor Javier Manjarres how evacuations were being executed.

Prior to being elected, Mills and a team of military contractors rescued an American family from Afghanistan during the Biden administration‘s  botched 2021 withdrawal.

Mills requested President Biden act to end the hostage crisis, and that he act quickly.

Mills explained "the time for talk is over. The time for action is now."
