After the horrifying terrorist attack in Israel committed by Hamas which left nearly 1,000 Israelis dead and thousands wounded, Governor and presidential candidate Ron DeSantis (R-FL) believes that Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has the facts all wrong surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The Florida Governor would also mention the notion that Israel has attempted to make peace with the Palestinians, but the Arab world has rejected it.
“The Palestinian Arabs, all the way back in the 40s rejected a [Jewish] state. They tried to annihilate Israel and the crib. There was an invasion plan in ’67, Israel preempted it, an invasion in ’73, then you’ve had all these Intifada, you’ve had offers of a Palestinian-Arab state from Israel, which would’ve made their security suspect, but they were still willing to do it. And the Arabs rejected that every time and the reason is: they don’t really want their own state, they just seek the elimination of the Jewish state,” stated Gov. DeSantis.
He would call out Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) for her perspective on the current war.
“So, when you hear people like AOC, and you see some of that stuff complaining about Gaza, Israel doesn’t occupy Gaza. They pulled out of Gaza in 2005. You could’ve had the Palestinian Arabs there, they could’ve made something of that, it's actually a pretty coastline, but instead, they basically elected Hamas to run,” stated Gov. DeSantis.
Finally, DeSantis declared that the war between Israel and Palestine will be “the final battle with Hamas.”
“So, they’ve chosen this course, and I just think Israel’s in a situation where their population has been decimated with terrorist attacks. And it just has to stop. This will be the final battle with Hamas,” concluded DeSantis.
Recently, Governor DeSantis called on President Joe Biden to immediately reverse his border policies to prevent a possible terrorist attack similar to what was just seen in Israel.
"I would also ask the president to consider reversing his policies on the southern border," DeSantis told CNN's John Berman in an interview today. "We are vulnerable when you have all these military age men coming in. Do you think that our enemies have not been looking at that weakness?"
