Brevard Sheriff Wayne Ivey has endorsed Florida Senator Rick Scott (R). Support among law enforcement continues to pour in as Senator Scott ventures into his re-election bid.

Ahead of his re-election bid, rumors began to swirl regarding the possibility of Senator Scott launching a presidential bid. With Florida hosting 3 candidates in Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, President Donald Trump (R), and Miami Mayor Francis Suarez (R), it appears that Florida won’t be seeing a fourth lawmaker from Florida embarking on a presidential run.

Instead, Senator Scott is hoping to continue his work as a Florida Senator, and it looks like law enforcement is hoping he stays in office.

In Late July, Senator Scott took part in a press conference calling on “Keeping Florida Safe,” and several Sheriffs from across the country took part in the conference.

Now, Brevard Sheriff Wayne Ivey has endorsed Senator Scott, calling him “a long-time friend and partner in Florida.”

“I am extremely grateful for his leadership and active involvement in law enforcement to make sure we are equipped and ready to serve our communities!” Ivey said, adding that “Senator Scott is always engaged and personally invested in our communities and as Governor was always there regardless if it was a natural disaster or to simply check in.”

“Senator Scott is the partner we need in Washington and I’m proud to support him for re-election in November,” Ivey continued, adding that he looks “forward to continuing to work with him for another 6 years.”

Most recently, Senator Scott railed against President Joe Biden (D), arguing that Americans are suffering under “Bidenomics.”

Citing a Bureau of Economic Analysis’ June Personal Consumer Expenditures release that indicated prices paid by consumers for goods and services have risen by 3.0% over the year, Scott shared some actions he’ll pursue to address rising inflation and the debt crisis.
