JPMorgan Chase Accused of Politically Motivated Account Cancellations

Share

Whether it is the IRS, or now banks, financial persecution is not a novel concept.  Now, JPMorgan Chase is being accused of politically motivated financial attacks on individual Americans by cancelling their accounts.

Dr. Joseph Mercola, a prominent critic of the COVID-19 vaccine had his account shut down by JPMorgan recently.  Whether it is the IRS, or now banks, financial persecution is not a novel concept.  Now, JPMorgan is being accused of politically motivated financial attacks on individual Americans by cancelling their accounts.

Dr. Mercola wrote on Twitter to announce the closure of his accounts, expressing his frustration at the lack of explanation provided by the banking company. "Chase bank has shut down our business bank accounts along with the accounts of my CEO and CFO, as well as their family members (including spouse and child). They've refused to provide any reason for doing so, the oldest account has been active for 18 years."

Those close to Mercola believe that the closure of their accounts is directly linked to Dr. Mercola's controversial opinions. "He … co-authored the best-selling book 'The Truth About COVID-19,' which exposed the likelihood that this virus was engineered in a laboratory funded by the NIH. He correctly predicted the vaccines would not prevent transmission or infection of COVID-19. He has been directly censored by the Biden administration and is being targeted by politically weaponized agencies," CEO Steven Rye explained.

This is not the first time the banking company has found themselves in the crosshairs of conservative rhetoric.  Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) blasted JPMorgan Chase when they teamed up with the Chinese Communist Party company known as ByteDance, which infamously produced and maintained the social media giant TikTok.

In Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) has taken action to protect doctors and medical freedom. The bill that DeSantis signed provides recourse for doctors who have been punished by medical boards for speaking in favor of alternative treatments to politicized viruses like Covid-19. John Littell, a Florida family physician for over 30 years, had his board certification revoked for "Covid-19 misinformation" for speaking in favor of Ivermectin as a treatment.
