Former President Donald Trump has been indicted for a fourth time in Georgia. Florida's Congressional delegation took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their thoughts and opinions.
Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) blasted the timing of the new indictment, which came several days after House investigations into Joe and Hunter Biden suggested they made $20 million in foreign business deals as part of their alleged influence-peddling scheme. "The only surprise is that it took 4 days this time instead of 1 like it normally does!" Sen. Scott said sarcastically.

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) called the new indictment "a Third World spectacle" not only for charging Trump with making a speech on Election Night but because the indictment was released prematurely.
"The latest Trump indictment in Georgia was prematurely posted online, announced at a late-night press conference & cites an election night “victory speech” as the first act of a conspiracy A 3rd world spectacle carried out by a local prosecutor with political ambitions that far exceed her professionalism," said Sen. Rubio.

Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), on the other hand, said, "Georgians across the political aisle held to account a massive 'criminal enterprise' by Trump and his allies to subvert our democracy" and Trump "deserves his day in court [without] undue interference."

Finally, Representative Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL) made a similar statement, calling the latest charges "alarming." As a result, Rep. Cherfilus-McCormick said, "Deeming them as such is not only inaccurate, but it threatens the very rule of law upon which our nation was founded."
"Once again, we are reminded that no American is above the law. Over the course of 2023, the former president has now been indicted four times. Donald Trump is entitled to his day in court, but these latest charges are alarming and should by no means be considered part of a larger ‘witch hunt.’ Deeming them as such is not only inaccurate, but it threatens the very rule of law upon which our nation was founded. No different than the previous indictments, this one must also proceed without outside interference," tweeted Rep. McCormick.
