A target letter from the special counsel has been sent to President Donald Trump (R), and President Trump is now responding. In reference to the 2020 election, the special counsel’s office has indicated the possibility of 3 federal laws that could be used to prosecute President Trump.

President Trump has issued a message to supporters, calling on them to keep calm as he continues to face legal concerns. However, despite the letter from the special counsel, Trump is disregarding the letter as another failed effort to sink his campaign.

“Now, the Deep State is hoping that a THIRD unlawful indictment will finally bring us down,” Trump said in the message.

In a video posted on Rumble, Trump once again likened the efforts to indict him as an effort against the American people. “The left is once again trying to destroy me because by destroying me they destroy you, they destroy the whole country, which is really what they want.”

He further called the effort to prosecute him a “big and vicious witch hunt.”

He doesn’t see himself as a victim. Instead, he commented that voters are the victims because the “Deep State” is attempting to “stop you from voting for the only candidate who will restore power to the American people, and they understand that.”

Providing some context to the letter, Norman Eisen, someone who worked for the House Judiciary Committee during President Trump’s first impeachment, explained that the letter could mean that the special counsel “has more than enough evidence” to present a case against Trump. Eisen further explains that “by leading the effort to procure fraudulent electoral certificates across the nation, Trump helmed a conspiracy to defraud the U.S., and by using those false documents to press Mike Pence to disrupt the Jan. 6 meeting of Congress, Trump attempted to obstruct an official proceeding.”
