Miami Mayor Francis Suarez (R) is down in the 2024 presidential polls but high in spirit. During an interview with Fox News, Mayor Suarez highlights the economic growth Miami is experiencing. As a result, Mayor Suarez is calling on voters to support his campaign as he looks to emulate the economic growth for the country.

Over the weekend, a Fox Business Poll conducted between July 15 and 19 indicated that Mayor Suarez is polling at both 1% and below 1% with Iowa and South Carolina voters. In both polls, President Donald Trump (R) remains the clear frontrunner with 46% and 48% respectively.

Suarez has had a rocky start to his presidential campaign, finding it difficult to gain footing in a crowded Republican primary.

However, despite the low polling numbers, Suarez maintains that he has a record to run on and that he wants the fruit of his labor in Miami to be mirrored for the whole country as president.

In an interview with Fox News, Suarez distinguished himself from the rest of the presidential hopefuls, saying that he’s “the only candidate that has actually cut a public sector budget by 20%, which is the exact amount that we have to cut the federal budget.”

“I’m the only candidate that can confront the immigration crisis in our country,” Suarez added, further commenting that he’s “the only candidate in the field that has actually converted an ecosystem – a city in this case – to being the most dynamic city in the country, with the lowest unemployment rate, the highest wage growth and the lowest taxes in its history… something that’s not happening anywhere else in the United States.”

Suarez informed earlier this month that he had qualified to be on the debate stage, so he will be meeting President Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) in August to defend his campaign.
