Although the 2024 Republican presidential primary is well underway, President Donald Trump (R) is looking past that., and his rivalry with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) growing by the day, the former President is vowing that his election will be a big one. Given that in 3 years the United States will be celebrating its 250 years of independence, Trump is promising to hold a “great American State Fair.”

In a message to supporters, President Trump also shared a video outlining his intention to “salute to America 250.”

Trump, in the message, speaks as if he’s won, saying that getting into office in 2025 would mean he’s “your President during a very special moment in America.” “3 years from now, America will celebrate the biggest and most important milestone in our country’s history: 250 years of independence,” Trump adds.

He then details that “beginning on Memorial Day 2025 and continuing until July 4, 2026, we will celebrate this incredible milestone and give our nation the birthday it truly deserves.”

In working with the governors of the United States, Trump will seek “to create the great American State Fair – a unique one-year exhibition featuring pavilions from al 50 states – which will be hosted at the legendary Iowa State Fairgrounds.”

The fair would not only be celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States’ independence, but Trump also highlights that the celebration would be for “the fact that we RESCUED our nation from collapse and MADE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

This week, many expected Trump to comment on President Joe Biden’s (D) fall, but Trump did not make fun of Biden. Instead, most of the criticism has been directed to Governor DeSantis, who instead has questioned why Trump has been combative with him.

In August, the GOP primary candidates will take to the stage to prove themselves to the American people, but all eyes will be on the candidate that can go toe-to-toe with Trump.
