WASHINGTON– US Representative Carlos Gimenez (R) claims Hunter Biden’s conviction is the beginning of the end for the Biden family.
The Floridian’s Publisher Javier Manjarres spoke with Rep. Gimenez regarding the issue shortly after floor votes.
Against a backdrop of Democrat allegations claiming Republicans are pursuing an unjustified witch-hunt against the Biden family, Rep. Gimenez affirmed the opposite.
“ It is just the tip of the spear, just the very tip of the iceberg, and when you dig into that iceberg, in the middle of it is Joe Biden,” said Gimenez.
Last week, select House members were allowed to review a redacted version of an FD 10-23, a confidential FBI form, reportedly unearthing potential corruption within the White House. The document alleges 17 audio recordings exist evidencing the Biden family's financial wrongdoings.
The tapes are said to contain conversations between Biden and his son, Hunter, accepting a bribe from an executive at Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian oil company. Hunter Biden served on the board of Burisma for several years.
Gimenez commented on the FBI document. “The telling document is that 1023, where a confidential informant spoke about the Burisma executive talking about (Biden), the ‘Big Guy’. That was in June of 2020, the laptop didn't come out ‘till October of 2020 where we first heard about the ‘Big Guy’. So how does that guy know that Joe Biden is the Big Guy when nobody knew about it until October? Remember that was in June,” emphasized Gimenez.
Combined with Hunter Biden’s recent guilty plea to various federal charges, the report has stirred congressional Republicans to action. Many are demanding answers and calling on the FBI to ensure maximum transparency during current investigations.
Gimenez asserted that “It all fits, it all fits very well, and so we need to start digging, we need to start chipping away at this Iceberg because right in the middle of it is Joe Biden.”
A group of infuriated House Republicans has even called to impeach President Joe Biden.
Gimenez has not joined impeachment calls. When asked if he supports impeachment, Gimenez said “We haven't gone through the (investigative) process yet. If we go through the process and everything that I believe to be true turns out to be true then oh yeah, absolutely.”
The White House has not commented on the unfolding investigation except to support Hunter. “The president and first lady love their son and support him as he continues to rebuild his life. We will have no further comment,” stated the White House.
