Gov. Ron DeSantis
As Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continues to garner national endorsements and rake in millions of dollars in presidential campaign donations, the good governor appears to now offering prospective donors a custom campaign loofah scrub in exchange for a $2,800 check.
According to a campaign fundraising invitation that The Floridian received, Gov. DeSantis will hold a “fundraising bathing event” at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
Yes, you read correctly. DeSantis's presidential campaign is allegedly holding a fundraiser at Walt Disney World, of all places.
The invitation reads,” Showering with Ron DeSantis.”
This invitation is obviously bogus, yet funny, as the phone listed on the invitation does not belong to the campaign. When calling the number, a recording states,” Thank you for contacting the office of Governor Ron DeSantis.”
The address listed is the Governor’s office at the state Capitol in Tallahassee, Florida.
We contacted both DeSantis’s campaign and executive office for comment on the invitation but did not hear back from either, so we could not confirm whether or not DeSantis would be attending the event wearing Speedos and bringing some rubber duckies and bubbles to go with the loofahs being offered on the invitation.
The ongoing social media brawl between former Trump supporters-turned-DeSantis backers and “OnlyTrumpers” and other supporters of former President Donald Trump, continues to rage on.
This invitation was surely put together by one of President Trump’s supporters.
But wait. Could DeSantis really be having a loofah, rubber duckie fundraising soiree at Disney World?
If so, where is my personal invitation?
