Trump Comments on Guilty Verdict

Share

President Donald Trump (R) has been found guilty. The civil case between him and E. Jean Carroll ended in a guilty verdict for the president. However, President Trump and his supporters are pushing back against the ruling. Trump has released a statement, calling the guilty verdict an example of a witch hunt.

President Trump posted a series of videos on Truth Social, commenting on the guilty verdict in his case against E. Jean Carroll. Carroll accused Trump of having sexually abused her in a luxury department store dressing room in the spring of 1996, but the president maintains his innocence.

He shared that he will be appealing the verdict, and he also released a statement to his supporters, arguing that the case is another example of the justice system being weaponized.

“Our justice system has been HIJACKED by corrupt political forces who use their power, money, and connections to destroy anyone who stands in their way,” Trump said.

“This witch hunt was funded by a Democrat mega-donor who slept at Pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s private island – with a Clinton-appointed judge presiding over the bogus trial,” Trump continued.

The “mega-donor” in question is Reid Hoffman, the founder of LinkedIn.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Hoffman visited Epstein’s Caribbean Island Little St. James.

Trump goes on to argue that the witch hunt is an effort to divert attention from President Joe Biden’s (D) low polling numbers.

“Everyone has seen the polls,” Trump suggests, adding that “no one honestly believes that Joe Biden – sitting at a 36% approval rating – can beat me in a fair election next year.”

Despite numerous legal concerns, Trump has signaled that he will not suspend his run for the presidency. Though he faces challengers on the Republican side, Trump has directed his criticism at both Biden and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R).
