Years ago, under the Obama Administration, many would argue that the political aspirations of President Donald Trump (R) were ignited. After being on the receiving end of a joke regarding the likelihood of him winning the presidency, Trump ended up doing just that. This past weekend, the White House Correspondents’ Dinner continued with many jokes directed at Trump and Republicans.

Team Trump has responded, chiding the “Fake News” media for their comments.

In a message to supporters, the presidential hopeful’s team directed criticism at the dinner, calling it a moment for the “Fake News… to pat each other on the backs and cheer on Crooked Joe’s re-election campaign.”

However, the team argues that “worst of all, they FLAUNTED their biased ‘reporting’ right in the American people’s faces.”

Biden has announced that he will be seeking re-election in 2024, which has drawn criticism from numerous Republicans, including Trump, who might be facing Biden in a 2020 rematch.

“While the Fake News was screaming about President Trump securely keeping documents at Mar-a-Lago he himself DECLASSIFIED, they turned a blind eye to all of the many, many boxes of documents Crooked Joe had stashed next to his Corvette.”

The Team goes on to affirm that the documents being stored in his garage “is not just a joke for reporters in Washington to laugh at.” Instead, they call it “another instance of election interference by the Deep State to take down President Trump and threaten his freedom.”

Despite Trump’s recent legal woes, he maintains that his focus is on claiming the White House, and much of his criticism has been directed at both President Biden and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R).

The team argued that “while the Swamp laughs about their own hypocrisy and bias, President Trump is being unjustly persecuted by a power-drunk establishment that wants to stop him from returning to the White House.”
