After the NAACP issued a travel advisory for racial minorities and members of the LGBTQ community, US Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) issued a travel advisory of his own for Socialists and Communists, warning that the ideologies will be welcomed with hostility.
The NAACP issued its statement this week as a response to recent policy decisions made by the DeSantis Administration. The association mentioned the conservative administration and legislature's moves to deny the AP course for Florida public schools on African American history.
The NAACP stated, "Florida is openly hostile toward African Americans, people of color and LGBTQ+ individuals. Before traveling to Florida, please understand that the state of Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions of, and the challenges faced by African Americans and other communities of color."
As per usual with Leftist messaging, many among the very far Left applauded the statement issued by the NAACP while other moderate figures were left to awkwardly not denounce or praise it. Miami Mayor-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava (D) where she stated that everyone is welcome in Miami-Dade and praised Miami's cultural history.
Now, Senator Scott is the first person to clap back at the NAACP in a bold way. The senator issued a formal travel advisory for all socialists visiting the state of Florida. Although Scott claims the travel advisory comes in direct response to the Biden Administration attempts to erase capitalism and the system that has brought prosperity to Florida and the entire United States.
The formal travel notice states, "Florida is openly hostile toward Socialists, Communists, and those that enable them. Before traveling to Florida, please understand that the state of Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions of, and the challenges faced by Socialists and others who work in the Biden Administration.”
"Let me be clear – any attempts to spread the oppression and poverty that Socialism always brings will be rebuffed by the people of Florida. Travelers should be aware that attempts to spread Socialism in north Florida will fail and be met with laughter and mockery,” Scott added, "However, in much of Central and South Florida, the situation is far more dangerous for Socialists, as they may encounter people from Cuba, Venezuela, and other parts of Central and South America and the Caribbean who have direct knowledge of, and experience with, the horrors of Socialism."
