Gaetz Discusses Durham Report Proving Trump-Russia Collusion False

With John Durham's investigation confirming the Donald Trump-Russia collusion narrative false, Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) appeared on NewsMax's The Right Squad to discuss.

"The FBI and senior officials involved in the Russia Hoax engaged in a seditious conspiracy against President Donald Trump. The inside man was James Comey," Rep. Gaetz summarized on Twitter.

Host Chris Plante inquired Rep. Gaetz if the Russian collusion story was "a seditious conspiracy" against former President Donald Trump. Gaetz gave a resounding "It was a seditious conspiracy."

"It was a seditious conspiracy, and the inside man was [former FBI Director] James Comey. This was cooked up by [former CIA Director John] Brennan, [former Director of National Intelligence James] Clapper, and [Director of Domestic Policy Council] Susan Rice, and they left Comey to be a part of the Trump Administration to erupt this Russia hoax lie," answered Gaetz.

As a result, Gaetz continued, "We will always think of 2016 to about 2019 as the "Russia Hoax era" of American politics."

Moreover, he stated House Republicans would be highly unlikely to reauthorize FISA surveillance powers, but "we've got pattern recognition here though."

By this, Gaetz described how "Big Government, Big Media, [and] Big Tech [were] all in this conspiracy to try and reshape the nature of truth," especially as the House Weaponization Subcommittee continues investigating the Hunter Biden laptop and attempts to keep the story suppressed.

Gaetz expressed his belief "truth in this country should be a function of discovery. It shouldn't be something defined by the powerful."

Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) similarly lambasted the FBI in a recent tweet reacting to the Durham report, "The Durham Report confirmed what we already knew: weaponized federal agencies manufactured a false conspiracy theory about Trump-Russia collusion. It reminds us of the need to clean house at these agencies, as they've never been held accountable for this egregious abuse of power."
