Gov. Ron DeSantis's soft-spoken and amicable press secretary Bryan Griffin has called it quits and will be joining the soon-to-be-announced DeSantis for President campaign team. In a statement, Griffin praises both Gov. DeSantis and First Lady Casey DeSantis, while outlining the Governor's accomplishments and his conservative bona fides.
Griffin doesn't say he is joining DeSantis's presidential campaign, but former press secretary and DeSantis campaign staffer Christina Pushaw does.
"Welcome aboard Bryan! Grateful to call you a colleague," stated Pushaw.
"The challenges can be overcome, and America is worth the fight. I believe that Governor DeSantis is the only leader who can see us to victory at this critical moment in American history. Because of this, I am stepping away from this role to pursue other avenues of helping to deliver the governor's success to our country," stated Griffin.
Griffin, who was groomed by, and later succeeded Pushaw, and will most likely be replaced by Asst. Press Secretary Jeremy "Red Beard" Redfern.
DeSantis's Communications Director Taryn Fenske told The Floridian she believed Griffin would "continue to serve the Governor well in his new role."
"Bryan has been a valuable member of the communications team and worked tirelessly to serve Floridians and know he will continue to serve the Governor well in his new role," stated Fenske
