Salazar: Disney Picked the Wrong Fight Against DeSantis

After Governor Ron DeSantis (R) dissolved the Reedy Creek Improvement District and took control away from The Disney Corporation, the Mouse struck back with a lawsuit. Representative Maria Elvira Salazar (R-FL) told NewsMax's Eric Bolling, "[Disney] picked the wrong fight with the wrong guy."

"Instead of bringing joy to children, Disney indoctrinates them with woke ideology. They should never have picked a fight with Governor DeSantis!" Rep. Salazar stated.

Rep. Salazar added that "Governor DeSantis is doing what the constituents want," as evidenced by his blowout victory over Democrat Charlie Crist in the midterms. Furthermore, she declared that Florida is "not woke."

"We are not woke. We're not Neo-Marxists. We want to continue the traditional American values that made this country great," Salazar continued.

While she admitted she did not read the lawsuit, Salazar remained confident it would not succeed, because they "got into the wrong business of trying to inject, penetrate wokeism while they were supposed to just be entertaining children."

"I have not read the lawsuit, [but] it doesn't matter. Disney got into the wrong business of trying to inject, penetrate wokeism while they were supposed to just be entertaining children," said Salazar.

Host Eric Bolling then brought up the canceled Pride Parade in Treasure Coast, which may have been a protest against State House Bill 1438, which banned children from attending drag shows.

Salazar responded that she did not understand the move because "we respect the gay community," but "all we're saying is do not mess with kids."

"I don't know why they're doing that. We respect the gay community. Everyone is entitled in this country to choose their sexual preferences and sexual orientation. That is your business and your problem, and we respect it. All we're saying is do not mess with kids, do not try to inject wokeism, and do not try to bring another type of ideology that has nothing to do with who we are. So we understand what's happening and I'm so sorry for Disney. They've picked the wrong fight, this is not their business. They should stay doing what they were doing, and now what happened is they had all these great advantages for fifty years and lost them because they picked the wrong fight," Salazar concluded.
