Two Arrested For Attempting to Illegally Vote in Florida

In rather shocking news coming out of the Sunshine State, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has announced charges against two individuals for participating in unlawful voting. Both of their charges, while similar but with distinctions, are classified as felonies.

“Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) arrested Donna Prentes Brady, 66, of Ocala, on two counts of casting more than one ballot in any election, a third-degree felony,” stated the FDLE.

They would go on to mention that “In a separate investigation, Toye Ann La Rocca, 63, of Fort Walton Beach was arrested on one count of false swearing of voter registration information and two counts of unqualified electors willfully voting, all third-degree felonies.”

In Brady’s case, it constituted actual voter fraud. In 2020, she voted in both Florida and New Jersey in their respective state primaries (she voted in person in Florida and by mail in New Jersey) and was arrested and booked into the Marion County Jail on March 13^th. She will face the Fifth Judicial Circuit.

La Rocca’s case is a little different. In her case, she was arrested for voting while serving a DUI probationary period. She was not to vote until she finished her sentence. She attempted to vote in Okaloosa County and was arrested by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s office. She will be tried in the First Judicial Circuit and will be prosecuted by the Office of the State of the Attorney.

The FDLE did not announce the party affiliations of the accused.
