“Federal bureaucrats, the medical establishment, and the lockdown lobbyists in Big Tech and legacy media are still desperate to justify destructive lockdowns and mandates while avoiding responsibility for dire consequences of these interventions.

Over the weekend, Team DeSantis directed a message to supporters, commenting on the 3-year anniversary of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns. As Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) travels across the country, celebrating the accomplishments of Florida, the team is warning of the dangers of the “Swamp.” Directing a majority of the blame to Dr. Fauci, Team DeSantis argued that DeSantis “led the nation” in various ways.

Team DeSantis reminded that the American people were told there would be “15 days to slow the spread,” which quickly turned into an extended period of time. The team argues that this led to “unprecedented restrictions, inspired by the CCP’s lockdown response, destroyed countless businesses and lives while utterly failing to stop the spread of COVID.”

Three years later, “federal bureaucrats, the medical establishment, and the lockdown lobbyists in Big Tech and legacy media are still desperate to justify destructive lockdowns and mandates while avoiding responsibility for dire consequences of these interventions," added the team.

Citing that “the prolonged shutdown” was “orchestrated by Fauci and his minions,” Team DeSantis commented that it “is the root cause of the economic disaster our country now faces: record-high inflation, rising interest rates, skyrocketing national debt, mass layoffs, supply chain disruptions, shortages, and the collapse of the stock market and your 401(k).”

However, despite the concerns, Team DeSantis shared that Florida paved the way on several issues, stating that it began with Florida rejecting the “tyranny” of Dr. Fauci.

DeSantis continues to highlight the "Free State of Florida," pushing back against criticism of his administration, affirming that his goal as Governor is to protect Floridians' rights and their livelihoods.

This month saw the release of Governor DeSantis' new book, which he has traveled to promote. Visiting several places including New York and Chicago, DeSantis has further fueled rumors that he's debating a 2024 presidential run.
