WINTER HAVEN-Today, Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo spoke at a press conference in regard to COVID-19 vaccinations and their safety.  Dr. Ladapo went as far as to question if anyone should take the COVID-19 vaccine at all.

After praising the political moves of Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and bashing COVID-19 policies from Washington like vaccine mandates, Ladapo warned the Central Florida crowd against the safety of the vaccines, claiming they have "a terrible safety profile."

"What do we have now that the dust has settled?  We have a vaccine, an mRna COVID vaccine that has a terrible safety profile.  I mean that is the truth.  The media, they work over time to rewrite reality, to make people believe that what is happening isn't actually happening."  Dr. Ladapo added, "At this point in the pandemic, I'm not sure if anyone should be taking it, and that is the honest truth."

Dr. Ladapo was met with applause soon after his remarks.  His medical opinions quickly landed the Surgeon General in hot water nationally, with health officials from the CDC and FDA condemning the recommendations of Ladapo for the state of Florida.
