DeSantis Invokes 'Gipper' in new Advertisement

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) continues to highlight his "Freedom Blueprint." While the Governor voices the advancements that Florida has undertaken during his tenure, he also continues to fuel speculation of a presidential run. In a newly-released advertisement, DeSantis invokes the 'Gipper' President Ronald Reagan (R).

Governor DeSantis' new book The Courage to be Free: Florida's Blueprint for America's Revival is viewed as a blueprint for the White House by political pundits. However, DeSantis has argued that instead it's a manual to inspire other states to take charge and influence the nation.

In a newly-released advertisement, showing footage of Governor DeSantis speaking at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, the Florida Governor presents Florida as the state that will push back against the "woke mob."

"President Reagan showed us that decline is a choice, he showed us that success is attainable, and he showed us that freedom is worth fighting for," says DeSantis, commenting that "when the world went mad, Florida stood as a refuge of sanity, a citadel of freedom for people throughout the United States, and indeed, throughout the world."

"We empowered people to make their own choices, and if you look over the last four years, we've witnessed a great American exodus from states governed by leftist politicians imposing leftist ideology and delivering poor results," added DeSantis, taking political jabs at California and New York.

The Governor presents Florida as a state that will fight for the Freedom of Floridians and Americans, admitting that "fight we must."

"In Florida, we will never surrender to the woke mob. Our state is where woke goes to die," warns DeSantis, adding that "to preserve this freedom, we must insist on the restoration of time-tested constitutional principles so that government of, by, and for the people shall not perish from the earth."

"We need to win the fight for freedom," DeSantis concludes in the advertisement, saying that the fight won would be "winning one more for the Gipper."
