Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) continues to rally support against "Biden's Border Crisis." Last week, the Governor proposed legislation that would address key issues regarding the concern. As he promotes his soon-to-be released book, Team DeSantis is highlighting why the "Border Crisis" bill is necessary.
Governor DeSantis took part in an interview with FOX News this morning, discussing his newly-released book and how Florida is heading into 2024. Host Lawrence Jones questioned the intention behind the book, noting that it serves as the playbook for a presidential run. In short, DeSantis expressed that the book serves as a manual to show how Florida is leading in the country, and he hopes that other states grow inspired to take the same charge.
One issue that the Governor feels strongly about is addressing the border, and Team DeSantis affirms that the Governor is committed to combating the "Border Crisis."
"Florida will not turn a blind eye to the dangers of our open borders. Governor DeSantis has — and will continue to — take decisive action to protect Floridians," said the team in a message to supporters. As DeSantis has previously expressed, Team DeSantis says that the Biden administration has failed to properly respond to the concern, so the Governor has proposed new measures to make sure that illegal immigration and the distribution of fentanyl are tackled.
