With the appointment of a special counsel to investigate the Biden Top Secret documents scandal that Democrats are not opposed to , is someone after Biden? Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL-1) believes the "Deep State" intends to prevent President Biden from seeking reelection in 2024 in a recent appearance on Fox's Ingraham Angle.

"Biden’s strongest allies are saying they approve of the appointment of a special counsel to criminally investigate the President. Maybe the Deep State has figured out they would rather roll with Gavin Newsom than Biden. We may not even have to help them take out their trash!" Gaetz tweets.

Host Laura Ingraham leads off noting that Biden will not officially make a decision after delivering the State of the Union address, and asks how it will be affected by this scandal.

"Well things in Washington aren't always what they seem," answers Rep. Gaetz.

He then questions Ingraham back with, "consider this: it was Joe Biden's Democrat personal lawyer that was rummaging around his stuff, looking for what? Evidence of a crime that his septuagenarian client committed nine years ago?"

From there, Gaetz says White House staff "does the absolute worst thing you could possibly do" by doing nothing. "They should've defused the Trump matter and then inoculated themselves in the process," he adds.

Additionally, once the story breaks, the special counsel is formed. "And now the big tell," says Gaetz, "is that even Joe Biden's strongest allies in the Congress like Senator [Chris] Coons are saying they approve of the appointment of a special counsel to criminally investigate the President."

As Gaetz tweets, he suspects Democrats would rather throw in their lot with Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) than continue supporting Biden. "The Republicans might not even have to help the Democrats take out their trash," he quips.

Finally, Gaetz concludes by saying that "just because the permanent bureaucratic state picked Joe Biden over Donald Trump in 2020, it doesn't necessarily mean that they're going to pick Joe Biden going forward in 2024. They may realize he is addled and breaking apart. And they care about power for the left. Don't forget that. It's not about Joe Biden, it's about maintaining power for the political left. And they may think that he's a bad bet going forward."
