Kat Cammack Spends Christmas with US Troops

The holiday season is often a time where people all over the world travel to spend time with family and close friends.  But for US Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) this season was a time for her to spend Christmas with US troops deployed overseas.

The Florida GOP's rising star Kat Cammack has always voiced her strong support for first responders and the military during her time in the US House.   This month Cammack pushed an effort to honor the US Military Women's Memorial.

Cammack has also not been shy of traveling long distances to prove a point, or demonstrate how much she cares about the issues that face her constituents.  At the height of the Border Crisis, Kat Cammack visited the Southern Border to survey the epicenter of the national crisis herself alongside Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL).

This Christmas Cammack, along with other members of Congress, travelled to visit US troops in the Middle East.  The Congresswoman was in Kuwait and Qatar where she helped bring Christmas to the troops who could not see their families during the season.

Cammack stated on Twitter, "What an honor to spend Christmas with troops in Kuwait, learning about their families back home and their mission during their deployment. They, along with their families, sacrifice so much, so to be able to show our gratitude was an incredible experience."

The Congresswoman was also there to attend military briefings when not singing Christmas carols to US troops.  Cammack also had the opportunity to meet soldiers who are from Florida's 3rd Congressional District.  The Congresswoman Tweeted, "In between briefings with Central Command and our military leadership, we had lunch with the troops in Qatar. Pictured below are some of my Florida folks! One of my constituents from Orange Park, FL even presented with a patch from her new Space Force unit!"

The US House is now less than a month away from changing leadership after an underwhelming midterm performance from Republicans.  However, a GOP majority could lead to new defense policy outcomes in places like the Middle East, where so many US soldiers are stationed.
