In a campaign event hosted by Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis in Volusia County, Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL-6) spoke to rally voters the day before the midterms. The primary focus of his speech concerns foreign policy, being especially critical of how the Biden Administration is handling American influence abroad.

Additionally, Rep. Waltz touches on domestic cultural issues, mostly on education and the prevalence of gender identity being pushed on children.

Rep. Waltz asks "are cities safe right now?" This prompts a "no," from the audience, to which he asks another question. "Is the world safe right now, under Joe Biden's leadership? As the leader of the greatest country that the world has ever seen?" Waltz answers with a resounding "absolutely not."

He elaborates that "I mean, we have Iran marching towards a nuclear weapon. We've all seen what Russia is doing right now under a nuclear umbrella. We have North Korea about to explode another nuclear weapon and launching ICBMs. We see Putin on the march, we see the absolute disaster that is our southern border. Two million people a year that we know about. There's another million, and I think that number is way, way low. I think the Department of Homeland Security and Mayorkas is lying."

Waltz then shifts toward the subject of education and indoctrination in schools.

"We've gotten a huge wakeup call... to what's being taught in our schools... We've got the Department of Justice labeling them as "domestic extremists." Are you kidding me,

'He briefly divulges to mention his newborn son and praise Mrs. DeSantis' "Mamas for DeSantis" group," questioned Waltz.

Returning to the main topic, Waltz says that "And now you want to label them a domestic terrorist because they care? They want their kids focused on reading and writing and arithmetic? And you know, there are some kids out there that are struggling with their identity, that are struggling with where they are. Okay, we all sympathize with that. That's handled in the home. That's not handled by some unelected bureaucrat administrator."

Though he describes himself as being "on the front lines of this ideological fight," Waltz says his main mission is the threat of the Chinese Communist Party. He states that the Chinese Navy and Space Force is larger than their American counterparts, and apparently plan to build an installation on the Moon in a deal with Russia by the end of the decade. "And here's the thing that has me so upset, is they're doing it all with your money... Chairman Xi of China is telling his country to prepare for war. He's talking about cyber, and space, and advanced technology. And what's Biden talking about? Climate, gender, ESG, they're kicking our ass all over the world."

Finally, Waltz concludes that "so folks, if you don't remember anything today, from me, I hope you remember, but if you don't remember anything, when you see "made in China," put it down. When you see "made in America," pick it up."
