Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar  (R) has prevailed against State Sen. Annette Taddeo (D) in one of the most contentious congressional races of the 2020 midterm election cycle.

Rep. Salazar’s race was considered a “toss-up” by just about every political pundit and prognosticator, the margin in which she won— 57% -43% , tells the real story.

Senator Taddeo gave Salazar a spirited challenge and was able to knock the former TV personality for ignoring her debate challenge, but the Gov. Ron DeSantis-led “Red Wave” election in Florida turned out to be too much for Taddeo and Florida Democrats to overcome.

Salazar was also able to score political points against Taddeo, pressuring her to denounce Brazil's recently-elected Leftist President Lula da Silva. Taddeo never openly denounced President Lula, instead said that she would watch his every move.
