Rubio Says Revamped GOP can win big in Elections

Over last weekend, Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R) joined the Ingraham Angle to discuss Florida’s midterm elections. Florida voters decidedly voted in favor of Republicans on November 8^th, and Sen. Rubio says a revamped GOP will be a force to be reckoned with in upcoming elections.

During the interview, Rubio discussed how elections have changed in the Sunshine State, drawing a comparison with Arizona, which is currently still counting ballots for its gubernatorial race.

“Our laws have improved every year and there are lessons that I hope the rest of the country is going to learn or we’re going to have more nights like what we’re having now in places like Arizona that looks like third-world country counting ballots,” said Rubio.

Currently, Republican Kari Lake is trailing incumbent Governor Katie Hobbs (D), but Lake maintains that her campaign will win when all the ballots are counted.

Speaking on the future of the GOP, Rubio mentioned that a new Republican Party “should be fighting for working-class values. It should be putting the interests of Americans first.”

With the GOP inching closer to controlling the House, Rubio believes that they should focus on making “America as strong as possible. That’s the best thing we can do for the world.” However, he says that there are lawmakers on both sides of the aisle that will make this a difficult feat.

“We have many people in both parties, particularly the Democratic Party that are constantly telling us that before we care about Americans, we have to take care of people that want to come here illegally, what deal to cut at the U.N. climate scam. Time and again, working Americans are being told, ‘We have to put someone else where else ahead of you.’”

Because of this, Rubio affirms that “a Republican Party that fights for working people is a party that has a chance to compete anywhere among any group in this country."
