In an op-ed for Fox News, Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R) recounts his family’s exile from Cuba. He explains that Leftist policies drove his family and many others away, vowing to not allow the same thing to happen to the United States. As he’s done since the beginning of campaign season, Rubio calls Florida Rep. Val Demings (D) “radical,” warning of the policies she represents in Washington.

A sharp critic of the Biden administration, Rubio has similarly pushed back against Rep. Demings, calling her a “Pelosi Puppet” and warning that she’s part of the left-wing of the Democratic party. In a new op-ed titled “My Parents Lost Their Country. I’m not Going to let us Lose Ours,” Rubio further pushes back against the Democratic party, writing that they’re “run by laptop liberals and Marxist misfits.”

“Every crisis we face right now as a country – every single problem hurting working class families nationwide – is driven by a dangerous agenda pushed by a far-left party that is completely detached from the lives of most Americans,” Rubio writes, sharing that “if Demings wins, Chuck Schumer knows he’ll get a fifty-first senator to rubber stamp the rest of the Democrats’ radical agenda, no questions asked.”

In the op-ed, Rubio expresses that the GOP needs “to deliver results for the American people,” promising Floridians “that I will get things done for them in this Congress because they’ve seen the positive impacts of my work in their lives and in their communities.”

With goals such as restoring trust in the FBI, holding people accountable, and ensuring “Big Business doesn’t continue selling out our nation to China,” Rubio charged voters with “the choice to support common sense, working-class Americans over the laptop liberals and Marxist misfits driving this country into the ground.”

As the 2022 midterm elections come to a close Rubio is leading Demings in all the latest public opinion polls, and is expected win alongside Gov. Ron DeSantis once all the votes are tallied.
