Progressive Latino Victory Fund Wastes Cash Trying to Beat DeSantis

Share

In a last-ditch effort to salvage the 2022 midterm elections, or at the very least, mitigate the damage Republicans are expected to inflict on them in the upcoming Election Night, the disingenuous and self-styled “Progressive” Latino Victory Fund recently announced a $250,000 ad buy in Florida.

The ad buy, which was posted on the group’s website, is to support State Senator Annette Taddeo’s congressional run, and to help Democratic Lt. Governor pick Karl Hernandez-Mats, who is running on the ticket with gubernatorial nominee Charlie Crist.

“Latino voters will be decisive in races up and down the ballot in Florida,” said Yvonne Gutierrez, Latino Victory Fund managing director. “These ads are key investments that will help mobilize Latino voters to support two top-of-ticket, phenomenal Latina candidates, Annette Taddeo for Congress and Karla Hernández for lieutenant governor.”

The advertising could help sway some voters away from Rep. Salazar and Gov. Ron DeSantis in Miami-Dade County, but it appears as if the effort is a little too late. They should have spent the money to buy Colombian Arepas and arroz con pollo y lechón for campaign workers and volunteers instead.

Miamians are voting in droves and Republican turnout is at a historic pace. It also appears as if a repeat of the 2020 presidential election is underway.  Progressive/Democratic Socialism is being rejected one again by Florida voters.

While the Latino Victory Fund, which was founded by Actress Eva Longoria and supports an open-borders immigration policy, does not hide the fact that they support a Leftist, Progressive agenda.

It’s messaging directly targets “the Latino community” as a whole, not just those Latinos that subscribe to the group’s train of thought or ideology.

“Latino Victory is an organization dedicated to building political power in the Latino community so that the voices and values of Latinos are reflected at every level of government and in the policies that drive our country forward.”- Latino Victory FundThe group’s website lists a slew of Latino elected officials and candidates they are supporting, but not one Latino Republican is listed.

Of course not.

LVF promotes a pro-Latino agenda and Latino candidates, they just exclude those Latinos that do not match up to the 50 shades of political brown they feel are acceptable.

The shades of brown LVF supports is not inline with the Hispanic/Latino population.

In Florida, Spanish-speaking Latino or Hispanic elected officials and candidates like Sen. Marco Rubio, Rep. Carlos Gimenez, Maria Elvira Salazar, Mario Diaz-Balart, and Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nuñez, even 22-year-old Republican State House candidate Daniel Zapata in Palm Beach County, are being seen as “extremists.”

But just like in Florida, the LVF is picking Latinos over Latinos in key political races.

The Fund has also backed Michelle Vallejo, an openly-progressive Democratic congressional candidate over fellow Mexican-American congressional candidate, Monica De La Cruz, a Republican, in Texas’ 15th District.

All indications and polling is pointing to a massive Republican tsunami win when all the votes are counted on election night.

Oh, we almost forgot that more and more Progressive Democrats, including the LVF, are dropping the phone baloney “Latinx” moniker they gave themselves.

Progressive State Rep. Carlos Guillermo Smith in Florida was famously the first “Latinx” elected official to abandon the term.

The majority of Hispanics do not believe the controversial moniker is offensive.
