President Joe Biden (D) touched down in South Florida to extend an endorsement to Florida Reps. Charlie Crist (D) and Val Demings (D). While Crist has praised the president, welcoming his endorsement, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) has warned that this will only hurt the Crist campaign. With political pundits warning of a “red wave,” DeSantis says “Joe Biden and Charlie Crist are two peas in a pod.”

During his visit to Miami Gardens, Biden called DeSantis “Trump incarnate,” telling attendees that “it’s really important for a state the size of Florida and consequence of Florida – it gets on the right side of history again.”

However, DeSantis, a vocal critic of the president, instead argues that Floridians should reject both Biden and Crist.

“While other Democrat candidates have avoided Biden like the plague on the campaign trail, Charlie begged him to come to Florida to promote the Left’s woke agenda that would turn our state into a progressive dystopia,” DeSantis criticized in a message sent to supporters.

He expressed that “Floridians know how destructive the Biden Regime’s policies have been for our country, but Charlie still thinks he is ‘doing a fantastic job.’”

DeSantis provides a lengthy criticism of the president, and during their sole debate, Crist quipped that DeSantis does this because he’s gearing up for a 2024 presidential run.

“My opponent classifies Joe Biden, who has driven our country into a downward spiral of chaos and destruction, as ‘the best president of our lifetime,’” chided DeSantis, warning Floridians that “Biden and the Democrat Machine are advancing a far-Left agenda that will be the downfall of our great country.”

DeSantis has dubbed himself “America’s Governor,” and just last week, while campaigning for Rep. Lee Zeldin (R), he said that Florida is the model that New York should follow in order to be a more “free” state.
