The bag Gov. DeSantis Never Leaves Home Without

Share

Republican voters and many political pundits say that winning reelection for Gov. Ron DeSantis is all but in the bag.

But which bag are they referring to?

Whenever he travels around the state, whether it’s to announce the signing of a bill into law, or other legislative or executive measures for his overall Florida First agenda, Gov. DeSantis does not travel without his medical “Go bag.”

And no, it's not one of those very feminine man purses.

The bag, which is usually kept out of sight by his FDLE security detail, recently made a couple of appearances during the Governor’s assessment of Hurricane Ian relief efforts in Southwest Florida.

So, what’s in the bag?

Gov. Ron DeSantis

Could DeSantis be stashing an emergency Chick-Fil-A spicy chicken sandwich within the bag that presumably holds medical supplies like band-aids and surgical tape?

While we don’t know exactly what’s in the bag, we can only assume that a defibrillator, blood clotting supplies for traumatic injuries, and possibly DeSantis’s blood.

Both the President and the Vice President of the United States travel with similar bags.

Actually, both President Biden travels and VP Harris travel with ambulances.

During a visit to the U.S. Senate to possibly take a tie-breaking vote, Vice President Kamala Harris exited one of the elevators outside of the Senate chamber, where one of the agents in her Secret Service detail was seen carrying a large black bag similar to the one DeSantis’s FDLE detail carries for him.

The Floridian was told by a source within the U.S. Capitol Police that the bag in question was an emergency medical bag that travels with the Vice President at all times.
