Rubio Campaign Releases 3 new Advertisements

Share

Hours away from debating Florida Rep. Val Demings (D), Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R) has released 3 new advertisements in support of his reelection. In the advertisements, respectively titled “Gwen and Vera,” “Nothing,” and “Everglades,” Floridians discuss how Senator Rubio has positively impacted their lives. The advertisements praise Rubio's efforts while in office, saying that his actions will "save lives."

In a statement regarding the advertisements, Elizabeth Gregory, the communications director for the Rubio campaign, praised the Senator’s efforts while in office. “Marco Rubio gets things done for Florida,” she said, calling Rubio “a tireless fighter for this state and the only candidate in this race who has delivered result after result for the people of Florida.” In contrast, Gregory said that “Val Demings has not authored a single bill that has become law. In three weeks, Floridians are going to re-elect Marco Rubio to the United States Senate.”

Senator Rubio is currently polling higher than Rep. Demings, but the senatorial hopeful maintains that her campaign can drive significant support to elect her on November 8th.

Ahead of the debate, Demings took to social media to highlight key positions her campaign is taking on political matters.

One topic she mentioned is home ownership, which is an issue that's made it to the forefront of Florida politics. Florida Rep. Charlie Crist (D) touched on the topic during his press conference this week on the affordability crisis he says Florida is undergoing. Directing blame to Republicans and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R), Crist argued that the DeSantis administration has further exacerbated the issue.

Demings also commented on public safety, the climate crisis, and she argued that “stronger small businesses mean a stronger America.”

The senate race is considered one of the most expensive and closely watched races in the country, and with Election Day under two weeks away, all eyes will be on the debate stage as Rubio and Demings verbally spar for the support of voters.
